Soft Metrics

Speakers - A lot Attendees - Less that usual and it's obvious Talks - I went to a couple and they were great! Keynotes - I heard that some felt pitchy but the ones I attended were phenominal. The organizers have a pretty good track record of choosing their Keynoters. The People - Lovely as always but I missed many of our friends from Africa,

Things that made PyCon US 2026 🔥

BPD Dinner at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles

That felt like eating dinner with my closest friends and it was a truly Black Python Devs Moment

Spades with Professor T and friends

The crew played spades and it was an absolutely amazing feeling.

Things that I thought while at the conference

LA is like the food truck capital of the US

I would have loved a Food Truck Night in the courtyard area across from the venue. I had the elote and churros from one and it was amazing.
